PARTNERSHIP LAUNCH

Project Managers, Shawn Gardner and Barry Pennell, launched the Western Slope Food System Partnership in January. At the Food & Farm Forum they presented the scope of work of their planning grant and published the website www.westslopefood.org. Six working groups have been formed: Producers, Processors, Logistics, Markets, Economy, and Legitimacy.

Projects are underway in several of the groups where members are able to post their research, news updates, and media and conduct discussions about their content. These projects will inform the agenda of four partnership forums leading up to, and concluding in the development of an implementation plan in March 2022.
